What does IDCS Group do?
We are a digital product engineering consultancy. We help organizations build, modernize and scale mission-critical platforms through consulting, custom software development and product development.
Where is your team based?
We operate a nearshore model from Colombia and work 100% remotely, serving clients across North and South America.
How much experience do you have?
More than 10 years in the North American market, and 7 years operating our nearshore model.
Which industries do you work with?
We don’t limit ourselves to one industry. We have worked with ADP, Aimpoint, Nemcon (serving NASA) and utility companies such as Nicor Gas and Merc Water, and we build our own products: uPMS, Krowd, Wise RT and Wise AR.

Can you modernize an existing platform instead of rebuilding it?
Yes. One of our mantras is “Let’s not build what already works.” We identify the parts of your platform that serve you well and focus effort where it creates value.
What technologies do you use?
Amazon AWS and Google Cloud for infrastructure, including data lakes, dashboards and analytics; Node.js, Python, PHP and Java for backend; Angular, other JavaScript frameworks and HTML5 for frontend; iOS and Android for mobile; and Web APIs and webhooks for integrations.
How do you use AI?
We are an AI-enabled engineering partner. We use AI-assisted development across the product cycle, from ideation to large-scale platforms.
Can you help us choose a tech stack?
Yes. Our consulting service analyzes your processes and advises on the tech stack that aligns technology with your goals.

What does your process look like?
Three stages: Explore, Build and Deploy. We involve you from the start and use agile methodologies so you stay involved at every step.
Why do you start with an MVP?
A minimum viable product improves time-to-market, lets real feedback shape the product and keeps investment rounds under control.
Will we be involved during development?
Yes. We like to involve clients from the beginning, and agile iterations give you regular checkpoints to review progress and adjust priorities.

What engagement models do you offer?
Three: fixed-scope projects, hourly support and consulting, and monthly contracts with a dedicated full-time developer.
How do project-based proposals compare to hourly rates?
Closed technical proposals typically offer a 10–15% discount compared with hourly rates.
